What Does It Look Like to Actually Thrive Now?

If you're a leader right now, chances are you're tired.

Tired of the uncertainty. Tired of making hard calls with incomplete information. Tired of holding your team together while quietly wondering if you're the one holding it all together. Tired of watching the outside world feel like it's spinning off its axis while you're expected to show up steady, clear, and confident every single day.

I see you. And I want to tell you something important.

It doesn't have to be this hard forever.

I recently spent time with a client I've been working with, off and on, for more than a decade. When we first started working together, they were a small organization with a tiny team and a whole lot of heart. Since then, they've navigated a leadership transition, budget crunches, staff changes, funding challenges, and a global pandemic. Everything that could test an organization's resolve — did.

And today? They are having one of their best years yet.

Not because the world got easier. It didn't. Not because every hard thing magically resolved. It hasn't. But because over the years, they did the steady, unglamorous, deeply important work of learning how to lead — together.

They operate from a clear strategic plan. They have norms for how they communicate and make decisions. Their leaders know how to have the hard conversations, give and receive honest feedback, and coach their people instead of just managing them. When a new shiny opportunity comes along, they know how to look at it clearly and make a principled decision about whether it's actually their opportunity. They keep the good of the whole in mind. They stay honest without blowing up relationships.

They are, without question, masters of their craft. And they've worked equally hard at mastering how they lead.

I'll be honest with you — because that's what I ask of my clients, and I think it's only fair I offer you the same.

This past year has been hard on my business too. There are moments when I look around and see others thriving and feel that quiet, uncomfortable question creep in: Why them and not me?

Maybe you know that feeling.

But my partner Jan reminded me recently of something I needed to hear: I chose to build my work around helping people achieve great things and contribute positively to the world. And every single time I see a client succeeding — navigating chaos with clarity, leading their teams with confidence, building something that actually lasts — I am reminded that I am doing exactly what I set out to do.

I have hundreds of those stories. Leaders and organizations who came to me overwhelmed and left with tools, frameworks, and a deeper understanding of themselves that they've carried forward into their own leadership style, their own culture, their own values. Most don't need me forever. That's the point. The goal was never dependence — it was capability.

And I couldn't be more proud or more grateful.

So here's what I want to ask you.

If you're a past client — please reach out. Tell me how you're doing. I mean it. Hearing from you is one of the great joys of this work.

If you need a tune-up or help with a challenge, let me know. I’ve got a single session offer that will refresh you, get you over the hump, and help you reconnect to why you are the leader.

And if you're someone who is tired of white-knuckling your way through uncertainty — if you're ready to lead with more focus, more clarity, and more confidence even when the world around you feels unstable — I'd love to talk about what that could look like for you.

You don't have to figure this out alone. And it doesn't have to stay this hard.

Let's talk about how I can help you.
